AI-Driven Development
A methodology for shipping more, faster, with AI, and the guardrails to do it safely.
What it is
AI-Driven Development is how we build software in the AI era. It's not about asking a chat for snippets. It's a structured way of working where prompts, agents, tools, and automations are first-class citizens of the engineering loop. We define the guardrails, design the workflows, and equip developers with the patterns that make AI a force multiplier instead of a liability.
Most teams discovered AI through a chat window. That is where most of them stopped. AI-Driven Development is what comes after: a way of working where the whole engineering loop, from ticket to deployment, is designed with AI in it, and with the controls that make it safe to rely on.
We coined the name because the existing ones did not fit. It is not "AI-assisted", where a tool occasionally suggests a line. It is not "vibe-coding", where nobody reads what was generated. It is engineering, with AI as a force multiplier and rigor as the baseline.
Four principles
Empower, don't replace
AI is here to make people superheroes, not to make them obsolete. Every workflow we design keeps a human in the seat that matters: the one deciding what good looks like. The agents do the repetitive work, the reviews and the first drafts. Your engineers do the engineering.
Guardrails first
Rigorous security and well-defined guardrails are non-negotiable. Before a single prompt goes into a pipeline we define what the AI may read, what it may change, and where a human must confirm. Easy doesn't mean slack.
Process before prompt
We refactor the routine first, then automate it. Bad processes don't get better when you sprinkle AI on them. They get faster at being bad. So we start with the way work actually flows, fix it, and only then hand it to the machines.
Mentor the next generation
We don't gatekeep. We train IT departments and mentor young developers onto the AI pathway, so the methodology outlives our engagement and keeps evolving inside your team.
How an engagement runs
Four phases, each with a deliverable your team keeps. The length depends on the size of the department and how much of the routine needs fixing before it can be automated.
Assess
We map how your team ships today: the routine, the bottlenecks, the places where AI helps and the places where it would only add noise. You get a candid picture and a short list of what to change first.
Guardrails
Security posture, data boundaries, review gates, and the exact scope of what agents may touch. Written down, enforced in tooling, not left to good intentions.
Workflows
Prompts, agents, tools and automations become first-class citizens of your engineering loop: versioned, reviewed and tested like code. We bring the patterns, you keep them.
Enablement
We work inside your repositories with your people. Pairing, playbooks, and measurement, so the gains show up in delivery and stay there after we leave.
What it is not
- Not a chat window with a corporate logo on it.
- Not vibe-coding. Everything generated is reviewed, tested and owned by a person.
- Not a plan to replace your developers. It is a plan to make them faster and harder to beat.
- Not a one-day workshop. It is a change in how work flows, and it needs the team to practise it.
- Not a licence to skip security. Guardrails come first, then speed.
What changes
- Faster delivery with fewer regressions, because the routine work is automated and the review work is not.
- A documented set of prompts, agents and automations that belong to your team, versioned in your repositories.
- Clear rules for what AI may touch, and the tooling that enforces them.
- Developers who know how to get results from AI and how to spot when it is wrong.
- A hype filter: an honest view of what matters for your business and what is noise.
